Hi Ties, we are very pleased to welcome you at Brightlands Materials Center! What’s your first impression?
My first impression was very good. It was a warm welcome in a brand new office. Brightlands Materials Center is well organized and communication lines are short. My new colleagues are committed to their job, and open to assist me with any kind of questions.
In which function/company you worked previously?
My previous responsibility was Business Developer, within the group Innovation and Strategic Marketing at Nitto Belgium NV in Genk.
Please explain your role as Business Development Manager Lightweight Automotive?
As Business Development Manager, my role is to accelerate the growth of the program Lightweight Automotive and to enable the customers to implement innovations in the field of thermoplastic composites for automotive applications. In my role I work in close co-operation with the program manager and scientists.
Which events/projects/meetings are you looking forward to?
The recently organized Brightlands Materials Center Partner day on 19 March, 2019 was a good opportunity to meet and talk with current and potential future clients. Another good recent experience was to attend the JEC (trade show for composites) in Paris, where we were present with a booth. Visiting the JEC, short after my start at Brightlands Materials Center gave me the possibility to get a good insight in newest developments of composite materials.
I’m looking forward to attending and organize similar events in the future, which will help to set-up new partnerships and collaborations for thermoplastic composites with the industry.
