We have published an article in the scientific journal Energies on building energy simulations of a residential building. In this article we compare energy savings potential of our newly developed smart window coating to commercially available energy-efficient glazing systems in 10 different climates.
We show that our new thermochromic smart window outperforms all other glazing systems in all intermediate climates, such as the Netherlands, and can lead to annual cost savings of up to 638 euro per household.
